Ireland's 4 Peak Challenge July
Guideline Overview (Booking Minimum 3 people)
Briefing on previous night before challenge. We will also provide guidance on the lead up to the event with a Q & A zoom evening in advance of the challenge
We will meet in Killarney train Station on the day before (trains arrive to Killarney at 1220,1420,1620,1820 and 2020) of the challenge to set up camp in Cronin's yard in order to get an early start for the first hike, Carrauntoohil (1,038m/3405 ft).
On completing our first peak we will transfer by minibus to our second hike, stopping for food on route. we will then climb Mweelrea (814m/2670 ft) on the first evening. Then we will travel into the night to arrive late to our accomodation in Newcastle, Co. Down.
After a hearty breakfast we will hike our 3rd peak of the challenge - Slieve Donard (850m/2,796 ft) before we travel to our final summit challenge Lugnaquilla (925m/3,039 ft). We will stop for food on route and there is an option for food and a pint before departing for Cherrywood Luas station or Heuston Station, Dublin.
- Transport to all hike start locations, from Kerry to Mayo, Down, Wicklow then Dublin
- Pickup from Killarney train station and drop off at Red Cow Luas station
- Accomodation - Night one will be a campsite (tents and ground mats provided if required) and night too will be guest house, B&B style accomodation
- Sleeping bag
- Personal hiking gear (you should be hiking regularly before taking on this challenge)
