The group will meet at 9am at Baravore car park in the Glenmalure Valley, after introductions and a briefing for the day, we will start steadily following an established track. We begin our uphill ascent past the historic Youth Hostel along a track to the upper part of Glenmalure Valley. Leaving the track into open mountainside we summit Camenabologue.
We continue on this Path until we join another and head south towards the summit, a continuous steady climb until we reach our Summit, at 977m the highest in Co. Wicklow.
After summit photos the descent begins. We head east towards Cloghernagh, once we’re over this peak, we head North aiming back towards Baravore and to Arts Lough. A steeper descent into Arts Lough, skirting around the lake and back over the Fraughan Rock Glen rejoining the established track back to Baravore Car Park.
