Hiking Terms & Conditions

While we will do everything possible to ensure your safety on the hills we cannot guarantee it. We will ensure to keep all our first aid qualifications current, relevant and up to date. We will ensure to abide by all industry guidelines. We will always familiarise ourselves with every hike before bringing a group and will always carry the following on hikes;

- Map or maps for the relevant range and/or area -
- Compass -
- First aid kit -
- Storm shelter -
- Mobile phone -
- Head torch -

We reserve the right to deny participation to anyone booked on a guided hike due to inappropriate or insufficient gear or bad preparation. You must bring on every hike you attend the following;

* Any required medication *
* Appropriate footwear for mountain terrain *
* Waterproof clothing *
* Warm layers (no cotton/jeans) *
* Water and food *

Whilst on a hike you take full responsibility for yourself.  Please stay with the group and in sight of the guide at all times. If you deviate from the group, you do so at your own risk.

Insurance

We advise you to obtain your own insurance. We recommend if you are looking to hillwalk on a regular basis you consider becoming a member of mountaineering Ireland.

Health, Safety and Level of fitness

A good level of fitness and hillwalking ability is required for many of our hikes. Each individual attending should assess their own ability and fitness before participating in any of our guided hikes.

If unsure whether any of our hikes are for you and your ability we recommend contacting us before you book and we will be happy to advise.

We reserve the right to alter any intended route and or at the guide's discretion change the intended route for the safety of the group or an individual. We may have to alter or change the route due but not limited to weather warnings, travel restrictions, government restrictions.

Your Privacy & Photographs

The personal inxformation that you provide to us about yourself will be held in confidence and not given to any third party.

From time to time we will take photos on hikes for our social media and marketing purposes, if you object to your picture being shown please make us aware.

Complaints

We are passionate about what we do and we will always strive to give you the most professional, quality and impartial service. However, we can get it wrong. If they do we will do everything to rectify, learn from and improve our service to you. As part of this process we value all feedback. Environmental Policy

-We aim for all our impacts to be positive.
-We will follow all the principals of Leave No Trace.
-We will strive for our impact on and off the hills to have the smallest impact on the terrain we cross, the roads we travel on, the communities we interact with, the climate and environment.
